1. The noise is mainly related to the materials and tread of bike tires. The use of road bikes is highly suggested because the spinning sound will be louder if a mountain bike is used. We also recommend using the bike trainer on a carpet to reduce the noise.
2. Although the mounting system can be compatible with most quick release skewers, we recommend replacing the original quick release skewer with ours to reduce the risk of damage. Furthermore, our quick release skewer is also functional in the daily use of your bike, so the replacement can also spare you from changing the quick release skewers too often.

works as advertised, good quality

very sturdy when in use, noise level is noticeable, but not extreme. the instructions advise using some sort of insulator between the floor and the mount, to reduce the transfer of energy. Only gripe is that the main hinge ( that moves the piece between storage and usage modes) has no lock mechanism, and tends to be a pain if you are moving the setup w/ bike on a regular basis.
