It's great but.....

If you're looking for luxury quality this ain't it home slice. But. The legs are excellent. I couldn't buy the base alone at this price point. The top seems diaper like with the odd sound of styrofoam against the particle board base. It's still well made. And cute. But not what I would say quality Wise it looks like in photos. To knock down the shine on the legs a bit, I sanded them and used some buff & rub in antique gold to get that luxury warm gold. It was so close but the undertone was throwing off the look for me. This has a greenish yellow undertone which would look good in many homes but I have luxe warm gold with a satin finish in my kitchen and it looked very here are the 80's gold ??. I have gray walls which have a purple undertone. So this gray although very pretty also clashed and looks blah here. I made a cover for them with extra cushion in a rougher velvet and another one with linen embroidery. So I could wash them and not slip off. My old self damn near bit the big one by my huge arse slipping off the cover like a slip & slide. ???????? Not the products fault really. But definitely a very fine velvet not fluffy, no grip but excellent for clean up or pet hair. It's a firm cushion which keeps it shape and that's great. With the covers and a few adjustments it's gorgeous in my kitchen now. This would definitely work for you if you have more contrast walls and don't mind shiny gold. I'm a designer, so of course I'm pretty color tone and texture sensitive. If you're not, get them. They are durable. Will buy more for my new home soon. Definitely worth the money and the shipping costs. I thought of building my own but this was a quicker option.
